Brief introduction of the cluster

The cluster consists of several components:components to provide a good experience for different roles of users. They are:

1. Head node cluster
2. Compute nodes
3. Parallel file system storage
   
4. SSH server cluster
5. Web portal
6. A CLI client
7. Fast Infiniband and Ethernet network
8. Software by modules and containers

This user guide will not cover the detailed hardware spec but will focus on the experience instead. If you are interested in those technical details, please feel free to contact us.

Compute node pools

We want to provide a heterogenous cluster with a wide variety of hardware. Users are welcome to experience different combinations of software and hardware. Bring in hardware is also welcome. Currently, the cluster supports 3 types of pools:

1. OneAsia hardware
2. Bring-in shared
3. Bring-in dedicated

The cluster bill your jobs based on the unit rate of each pool. We will cover billing later.
